About Melissa

A love for seniors that started at home.

I grew up with both sets of grandparents just minutes from my home. They gave me stories, encouragement, lessons, laughs, and homes where I could bake and cook.

At 14 years old, I started my first job working with seniors as a server in a retirement home. What began as a first job became a 19-year journey of learning from, listening to, and advocating for older adults.

Today, I create content that speaks with older adults, not at them — and that brings families and generations into the same conversation.

What I Talk About

Honest conversations. Human connection.

01

Aging with dignity

Respect, independence, identity, and seeing the person — not just their age.

02

Stories & life lessons

Wisdom, humor, resilience, memories, and experiences that deserve a place at the table.

03

Family & generations

Stronger connections between grandparents, parents, children, caregivers, and communities.

☕ Pull Up a Chair

This is where we slow down and talk about aging, family, caregiving, memories, laughter, hard conversations, and everything in between.

Bring your questions. Bring your stories. Bring your coffee.

Stories From the Kitchen

Some of the best memories are made around a table.

Cooking and baking have always been part of my connection to family and grandparents.

From the Kitchen

Recipes, memories & the generations in between.

Expect a little baking, a little cooking, and a lot of heart. Sometimes the easiest way to start a meaningful conversation is to put something warm in the oven and invite someone to sit down.

For the Community

Our generations need each other.

Whether you’re an older adult, a granddaughter, a son or daughter, a caregiver, a parent, or simply someone who believes every person deserves to be heard — there’s a place for you here.

If you could sit down with your grandparents for one more afternoon, what would you ask them?
