“Older adults deserve to feel seen, heard, valued, respected — and included in the conversation.”

About Melissa

A love for seniors that started with my grandparents.

I grew up with both sets of my grandparents just minutes from my home. Their houses were full of stories, laughter, encouragement, life lessons, and memories made around the kitchen table. They taught me that the simplest moments can become the ones we carry forever.

When I was 14, I started my first job working with seniors as a server in a retirement home. I thought I was starting a job. I didn’t know I was beginning a 19-year journey of learning from older adults, listening to their stories, and becoming passionate about advocacy.

Today, I’m a granddaughter, mom, senior advocate, content creator, and storyteller. I create conversations that speak with older adults, not at them — while helping families and generations find their way back to the same table.

What I Stand For

Seeing the person beyond the age.

Aging is not a loss of identity. Older adults are people with stories, opinions, dreams, humor, preferences, memories and voices that deserve space.

01

Dignity & respect

Talking to older adults directly, listening to what they want, and treating them as the adults they are.

02

Stories & wisdom

Making room for the experiences, humor, resilience, memories and lessons that come from a lifetime.

03

Family & generations

Creating more meaningful connections between grandparents, parents, children, caregivers and communities.

My Signature Series

☕ Pull Up a Chair

Imagine we’re sitting across from each other at the kitchen table. No lecture. No talking down. Just a real conversation.

We’ll talk about aging, family, caregiving, grandparents, memories, laughter, hard conversations, everyday moments and everything in between.

Bring your questions. Bring your stories. Bring your coffee.

Stories From the Kitchen

Some of the best memories are made around a table.

Cooking and baking have always been part of my connection to family and grandparents.

Stories From the Kitchen

Recipes are better when they come with a memory.

I love to cook and bake — but for me, food has never been just food. Some of my favorite memories live in my grandparents’ kitchens: the recipes, the conversations, the smells, the laughter and the feeling of being home.

Here, you’ll find a little baking, a little cooking, family memories, and plenty of reasons to pull someone closer to the table.

For the Community

Our generations need each other.

Whether you’re an older adult, a grandparent, a granddaughter or grandson, a parent, a caregiver, or simply someone who believes older adults deserve to be heard — there is a place for you here.

I want this community to feel less like a page you scroll past and more like a kitchen table you’re invited to sit around.

If you could sit down with your grandparents for one more afternoon, what would you ask them?
